The Clarion is the only Newaygo County newspaper dedicated to senior issues and senior needs.

The Clarion provides a variety of information to the seniors of Newaygo County including home repair tips, Medicare information, health/medical information, safety tips, local news and events, transportation information, and the Senior Meals Program menu.  A worker from Social Security sends a column monthly with valuable Social Security information.  In 2005 we have been concentrating information on the new Medicare prescription program as well as warnings about the scams that have come up as a result of this new and confusing program.

The Clarion is mailed to approximately 4,500 homes and another 200 copies are being distributed at local libraries, business, and senior meal sites.
